No (cheap) way home
I found out today that I've got a 6 day weekend next week... and thought dreamily about going to Edinburgh. I've just looked up the fares and if I could find the right time it'd be a £24 return. Unfortunately I should probably have booked it weeks ago. The cheapest I can find now is a £64 return. Not something I can really part with at the moment.
I'm not even sure I'd enjoy a visit up to Edinburgh, and I'm even more sure I'd hate coming back. So why I'm even contemplating it... well who knows. It'd be nice to fall back into something in Edinburgh though, and think that I'm home.
London is easy on the eyes, especially compared to Birmingham, but Edinburgh will probably always win the beauty contest.
I told myself I'd leave Edinburgh for London to check London out, because Edinburgh will always be there if at the end of this year I am sick of London and just want to hightail it back... but it will be different not being a student and with 60% of my friends gone. But it would've been like that anyway, I guess. There's no rewind button either, so best get on and create more good times.
