mmm.... chlorine

In the water this morning at 9am... woke up at 7 to get to the place on time and still being late due to getting on the right bus in the wrong direction...

...loving swimming and doing laps even though it hurt muscles that I haven't registered in a while.

Day 1 and this lifeguarding course is turning out to be good fun.  We have a cool instructor who makes fun of this girl for being posh even though he went to Harrow.

I thought I'd be one of the weaker swimmers there having not swam properly in a good while... I've been swimming twice this year and one of those times was on Saturday when I jumped into the pool to make sure I could do the pre-requisite 500 yards and then hanging around loving the water.  Instead I was one of the stronger swimmers and hence teacher's pet!  Whoops.  I hope nobody hates me.

In other news studying isn't going well... although I've just finished reading the required chapters for the life guarding course... I love how this is going to be an easy pass if you just read the book and understand it and memorise maybe a few acronyms.  I re-did one of my first practicals from functional programming so at least I know I can do some sml.  I'm going to do some more at some time.

Now I'm just off home to go to sleep... I'm really really tired as I didn't sleep very well last night... I was much too hot under the covers but outside of the covers it was pretty cold.  I hate that!
