Internships

Apparently now is the time to apply to internships for the summer!

So I've been thinking about things and well most of all I would love to get a 'proper' internship at a computer company like IBM, or a company that is used to taking IT interns, so that I can get a structured internship where interns learn things as well as contributing towards the company.

Second of all, if I can't get into any of those (and theres a high cmpetition for them... the fact that I come from a 'good' university as opposed to an 'excellent' university and am only expecting a 2:1 not a 1 and got a 'D' and a couple of 'C's on my GCSEs will all rate against me), I would really really like to intern at an NGO, like Oxfam, WWF, RedCross, or Lepra.

I'm gonna get my shit together this weekend and start applying. I'm already halfway through my application for the IBM Extreme Blue internship, but I don't hold any special hopes for it. They're looking for people with that extra extra something, like Zak, but then again I'm an ethnic minority female. ;)
