Ezekiel 28:13-15 (Lucifer?)

"You were in Eden, the garden of God;
Every precious stone was your adornment:
Carnelian, chrysolite, and amethyst;
Beryl, lapis lazuli, and jasper;
Sapphire, turquoise, and emerald;
And gold beautifully wrought for you,
Mined for you, prepared the day you were created.
I created you as a cherub
With outstretched shielding wings;
And you resided on God's holy mountain;
You walked among stones of fire.
You were blameless in your ways,
From the day you were created
Until wrongdoing was found in you
By your far-flung commerce
You were filled with lawlessness
And you sinned.
So I have struck you down
From the mountain of God,
And I have destroyed you, O shielding cherub,
From among the stones of fire."

A million zillion things to do (and a favourite image)

Recently I feel like all the time I want to be doing at least three things at the same time. For example, as I'm writing this post I'm also wanting to play Runescape, bake brownies, study my math, do my CS handin for Tuesday, and cut up wrapping paper to stick pictures on and put on my wall. Actually I was doing my CS until I decided I wanted to post this. I figure that when I post this I'll have one less thing I want to do. And then I'll do my CS, or at least part of it, and it'll be less of one thing I want to do. And it's important. Unlike, say, baking brownies. Which is important for my stomach, but not, say, as important as CS handins and studying for math. And Runescape... is kind of ongoing and not important at all so technically I should be giving my want to play Runescape no attention at all, but, unfortunately, I do. Give it attention.

But I've been good today, no Runescape. I came back from Uni at 1, cooked myself a bacon and egg (fried in the most unhealthiest way possible), and spent 2 hours writing a covering letter for a summer placement scheme I reeeaaaallly want to go on. Then I took a nap for about 1 1/2 hours, cooked dinner, ate it, and went to karate. Now I'm back, I didn't even go to the pub for one drink! And doing my CS Handin. See? Good little me. *nods*

I also wanted to show you my new desktop image. I know this is a bit old but I just love this image, even though it's very edited and no way is the earth bluuueee like that at night. The Earth at Night, including wee explanations and stuff. I know I shouldn't like it 'cause it's major light pollution and all... but I do. It's pretty.

Back to CS Handin....

Oh yeah, and I made chocolate peanut butter oatmeal no-bake cookies on Monday night. They r0x0rz. :D

Picture time! (and random)

:D *bounces on toes*

I've just cut up some wrapping paper to make 'frames' for the photos I printed out. The walls of my room are a bit bare and the wallpaper is a bit ugly so I'm going to plaster it with photos!!!

I've been voted 'secretary' for the karate club - a slight upgrade from treasurer with about the same responsibility I suppose. At least I won't get sued if anything goes wrong!!!

Photos are: Martial arts ball 2005, which was amazing, apart from the fact that ian doesn't 'do' random dancing! booooooo. Martial arts ball 2004 was amazing as well, the last 4 dances of the night were with Ian :D Once he was suitably drunk on Guinness I bullied him into being my partner as he hadn't danced the whole night!

Feihao took this right after Ian and Eamon were 'acting gay'. I didn't see it! They're both laughing their heads off at this moment.

Feihao wanted a picture of her with a guy in a kilt so we asked Martin to pose with her.

Other picatures!!!
Ian went home when I went to BUSA to check out his new puppy and was so so taken by Doogle that he sent me some pictures. :D So so so cute.

I've just been paid!

Do you remember this post?

I haven't done anything about the randomizers since then, but as they are random some random person has paid me to join the membership! (It was Random Cash Unlimited)

The blindfold of friendship

They say that love is blind, and I never thought I could fall into that trap. Yet recently I have experienced something strange.

Ever notice how when you stop being friends with someone you notice their shortcomings and their flaws more? Is it because you're looking out for something to justify the end to your friendship, or just because when you are friends you don't notice them, your love, in fact, blinds you to them? I think it's kind of like spending so much time with someone is like looking at them close up, and you don't see all the 'flaws' or they just don't matter to you. But once you step away, once you see them from afar, they become so apparent that you wonder why you never saw it in the first place. And if you did see them, why they nevver seemed so large flaws.

So now do you feel disappointment or sadness? Disappointment that someone you held in such high regard should harbour these shortcomings, or sadness that someone you love/d can have so many things wrong with them?

It was not my choice to end the friendship, but I am surprised and saddened by the flaws. Love, truly, is blind.
